Filming and photographing

Visitors are permitted to film and to take photos in the museum, as long as this does not cause inconvenience for other visitors. The conditions are stated in the General Terms and Conditions.

BRIDAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Photography in the Rijksmuseum is only permitted for visitors with a valid ticket and in accordance with the Rijksmuseum Terms and Conditions (for example: no tripods and no additional lighting).

The gardens of the Rijksmuseum are freely accessible during opening hours. Here you can take photos without a ticket or start time, as long as this does not cause inconvenience for other visitors. The Terms and Conditions of the Rijksmuseum also apply in the gardens.

Photos may be taken in the public areas of the museum. Unfortunately, it is not possible to take photos in the exhibition wing or in the Cuypers Library.

Gardens

The gardens of the Rijksmuseum are freely accessible during opening hours. Here you can take photos without a ticket or start time, as long as this does not cause inconvenience for other visitors. The Terms and Conditions of the Rijksmuseum also apply in the gardens.

For professionals

Filming and photo shoots are permitted for (inter)national media and Rijksmuseum partners can be submitted via filmdesk@rijksmuseum.nl.

The Rijksmuseum may charge a fee for the use of the museum as a location for professional filming or photography.
